IES BENIAJAN is a public secondary school located in Beniaján , a few kilometres away from Murcia, a city with over 400000 inhabitants in the South-East of Spain. Beniaján has 11.000 inhabitants and is well-known as having an important citrus fruits production which exports to all over the world.
Our school counts with over 600 pupils and 68 teachers. English and French are taught at our school, but only English is compulsory at all the different levels. We teach the four Compulsory Secondary Levels, called ESO, from 11 to 16; and we also teach students who are interested in going to university and need two extra years (known as Bachillerato) before sitting the university entrance exams (from 16 to 18). The school offers as well Vocational Studies in Computers and an Intermediate level in Cooking (the latest one only for those students who had problems at achieving their compulsory studies). |
